Dairy – Specialist Cheese Producer

We recently completed a cold room installation project at High Weald Dairy, a local dairy in Horsted Keynes that produce award-winning cheeses.

Our works involved firstly moving the existing air handling unit, to create space for the new cold room.

We then excavated groundworks, installing a new stainless steel drainage system and a new reinforced concrete slab.

Next, we supplied and constructed new 100mm PIR hygienic insulated panels to form a box, with steelworks on the outside to support the air handling unit. We installed a polymer granite reinforced screed laid to falls, with a polyurethane hygienic heavy-duty floor topping with skirting and joints to form the base of the cold room, and the installed a new hygienic sliding door with fitted PVC cladding around the wall to stop any impact damage.

Thanks to our expert team, all the work was completed on time and well within budget – the client was thrilled!
